What You Get From a Top Notch Pet Resort Grooming Visit

A good grooming visit is about more than how your furry friend looks when they come home. It can also make routine coat care easier while giving you another set of experienced eyes on your dog’s skin, coat, ears, and nails.

Our dog grooming services offer several benefits for pet parents and their furry friends:

A clean, comfortable dog: Regular grooming helps manage matting, excess shedding, and other coat concerns that can cause discomfort.
Early awareness of potential concerns: During grooming, your dog groomer may notice changes in your dog’s skin, coat, ears, or nails that you can bring to your veterinarian’s attention.
Gentle, positive handling: Our dog groomers use gentle products and positive reinforcement techniques to help dogs feel more comfortable during grooming. We carefully hand-dry dogs, and we never use harsh methods or tranquilizers.
Convenience of a multi-service facility: Schedule grooming after dog daycare or at the end of a boarding stay, so your pup can receive multiple services in one visit.
Consistent groomer relationship: Regular visits give your pet groomer time to get familiar with your dog and their individual coat and grooming needs.

How often your pup needs grooming depends on their breed, coat, lifestyle, and individual needs. Our expert team can provide helpful dog grooming tips to keep your pup happy and healthy.

How Our Grooming Process Works

At Top Notch Pet Resort, we understand that grooming appointments can be stressful for many dogs and their owners. That’s why we strive to create a calm, reassuring experience from start to finish.

Here’s what a typical grooming visit looks like:

Step 1

Book Your Appointment

Getting started is easy. Top Notch Pet Resort offers grooming appointments at both the Modesto and Turlock locations.

When scheduling a new dog grooming appointment, you may be asked about your dog’s breed, coat condition, grooming history, and any sensitivities or special considerations. This helps the grooming team prepare for your dog’s visit and recommend the right services.

Book your next appointment by phone or online.

Step 2

Drop-Off & Assessment

When you arrive, a team member will greet you and your dog and review any important grooming instructions. This is also the time to discuss your preferred style or length. Your dog groomer will then provide an estimated pick-up timeframe based on your dog’s size, coat, service, and individual needs.

Step 3

The Grooming Session

Every grooming service includes a bath with gentle products, a pedicure, and careful hand drying. Depending on the service you choose, your dog’s visit may also include brushing and a haircut based on their grooming needs. We never cage-dry, and we don’t use harsh methods or sedatives during grooming.

Step 4

Pick-Up & Next Visit

Once your pup’s grooming is complete, they’ll be ready to head home looking and feeling their best. At pickup, your dog groomer can provide a quick recap of the visit, including anything notable like matting or skin irritation. Before you leave, you can also schedule your dog’s next grooming appointment. Regular appointments can help keep your dog’s coat, nails, ears, and overall grooming routine on track.
